I bought my vr-x barnd new 2 yrs ago and when i got my work car recently i thought i'd see how much it was worth on trade-in. $17,000 was what they offered. So i've lost about $20,000 in 2 years. Im not going to sell it as its the best car i've driven.
Mitsubishi cars arent worth anything because they have a bad public image due to whats happened in S.A. Not only that but what happened in Japan with all the coverups on faulty wheels, clutches and driveshafts falling off their range of trucks has put Mitsubishi here into panic mode.

I agree with whoever it was that said they aren't RWD. Australian's traditionally love RWD car's. They handle loads better, tow better, tyre life is more even and generally longer etc...
Only thing I don't like about the magna is the FWD actually - hate it.

Magna also have a appauling reputation for automatic gearboxes (someone i think has already said that) but yeah i know a lot of people who think magna's look nice, comfortable etc. but won't touch them with a 10ft pole because they are FWD and they've heard nothing but bad things about the auto's.

Mitsu just need (a bit bigger) family car that is RWD, has a good auto, probably a bit more power and so forth.

In my personal opinion I think its the FWD that lets it down so much.

In regards to the auto thing, i dont think that its mainly the problem there seem to be many happy people with their magnas, just alot of ignorant people who just rather judge without HAVING driven one.... I never would have considered a magna until one day i drove one randomly and I was surprised. I liked it much more than the VT commodore. Ive had mine 2 years nearly and its never let me down.

I think mitsubishi is going the right way with the AWDs, even though the market is still small compared to RWDs, pretty soon people will realise these are better cars to drive, but the problem still is that we gotta get them in the cars in the first place.

They should get the marketing guys who work for microsoft, look how successful they are...
Yay no more timing chain noise.
